What does Test print failed mean?
Test print failed means Sidro could not send the test slip to that printer. The message on screen usually says why.
- Make sure the printer is on, has paper, and the cover is closed.
- Match the message:
- "Bluetooth is turned off." or "Unable to connect to Bluetooth printer": turn Bluetooth on, keep the printer close, and make sure it is paired in Android Bluetooth settings and not connected to another device.
- "Bluetooth permission is required to print.": allow Bluetooth for Sidro POS in Android settings.
- "USB printer permission was denied.": tap Test print again and tap OK when Android asks.
- "USB printer not found for vendor/product ids.": plug the printer back in, then tap Edit on the profile and pick it again.
- "Unable to reach LAN printer at (address)": check the IP address and that the tablet is on the same network as the printer.
- Tap Test print again.
If Test print fails on a computer, that is expected. Printing from a computer isn't supported yet, so use the Sidro POS Android app.
If it still fails on the tablet, email [email protected] with your store name, the printer model, and the exact message.
