Why does Android say Bluetooth permission is required for printers?

Sidro needs Android's Bluetooth permission (called Nearby devices on newer Android) to list your paired printers and print to them.

  1. In Sidro POS, tap the More tab, then Thermal printers. Tap Add profile (or Edit on a Bluetooth printer) and tap BLUETOOTH under Transport.
  2. Tap Allow Bluetooth, then tap Allow on the Android message.
  3. If you tapped Don't allow before, open Android Settings, then Apps, then Sidro POS, then Permissions, and allow Nearby devices. Menu names can differ by tablet.
  4. Turn Bluetooth on, pair the printer in Android Bluetooth settings, then tap Refresh under Paired Bluetooth printers.
  5. Tap your printer, tap Save profile, set it under Printer roles, then tap Test print.

Email [email protected] if it still fails.
